WGNTV.com Top Model Madness
OFFICIAL WGN-TV RULES
1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Entrants must be 18 years of age. Entrants must be present and in line to audition at the America’s Next Top Model local audition on Saturday August 29, 2009 in order to enter. WGN-TV will select up to 500 entrants from among those present.
2. HOW TO ENTER: Entrants must sign a WGN-TV Participant Release and agree to have their picture taken by the station and posted on the WGN-TV website (wgntv.com). WGN-TV will post all eligible entrant photos on Wednesday September 9, 2009.
3. SELECTION OF WINNERS: Once entrant photos are posted on the WGN-TV website, viewers will be invited to vote for their favorite Chicago Top Beauty in multiple rounds as described below. All decisions regarding the administration of this contest made by WGN-TV are final and binding.
A) First Round: September 9-September 16, 2009: All entrant photos will be posted for the First Round no later than 9 a.m. on September 9, 2009. On-line voting will be conducted from Wednesday September 9, 2009 at 9 a.m. through 11:59 p.m. on September 16, 2009. On September 17, 2009 the 100 entrant photos that receive the highest number of votes during the First Round will be deemed First Round Qualifiers and will advance to the Second Round.
B) Second Round: September 17-September 23, 2009: All one hundred (100) First Round Winner photos will be posted for the Second Round no later than 5 p.m. on September 17, 2009. Viewers and website users may vote on-line from September 17, 2009 at 5p through 11:59 p.m. September 23, 2009. On September 24, 2009 the 50 entrant photos that receive the highest number of votes during the Second Round will be deemed Second Round Qualifiers and will advance to the Third Round.
C) Third Round: September 24-September 30, 2009: Fifty (50) Second Round Qualifiers’ photos will be posted for the Third Round no later than 5 p.m. on September 24, 2009. Viewers and website users may vote on-line from September 24, 2009 at 5 p.m. through 11:59 p.m. on September 30, 2009. On October 1, 2009 the 10 entrant photos that receive the highest number of votes during the Third Round will be deemed Third Round Qualifiers and will advance to the Fourth Round.
D) Fourth Round: October 1-October 7, 2009: Ten (10) Third Round Qualifiers’ photos will be posted for the Fourth Round no later than 5 p.m on October 1, 2009. Viewers and website users may vote on-line from October 1, 2009 at 5 p.m through 11:59 p.m. on October 7, 2009. On October 7, 2009 the 2 entrant photos that receive the highest number of votes during the Fourth Round will be deemed Fourth Round Qualifiers and will advance to the Final Round.
E) Final Round: October 8-October 14, 2009: Two (2) Third Round Qualifiers photos’ will be posted for the Final Round no later than 5 p.m. on October 8, 2009. Viewers and website users may vote on-line from October 8, 2009 at 5 p.m. through 11:59 a.m. on October 14, 2009. The Finalist whose photo receives the highest number of votes during the Final Round will be deemed the Winner, subject to eligibility confirmation and compliance with these rules. The winner will be notified by phone and announced on WGNTV.com on October 14th. If the winner is determined to be ineligible, cannot be reached by reasonable means within a reasonable amount of time on the afternoon of October 14th, or who otherwise fails to comply with these Official Rules she shall be disqualified, and the first runner up (i.e.,the Finalist with the next highest number of votes earned during the Final Round) shall be deemed the winner.
4. ONLINE VOTING: You may vote by visiting wgntv.com and clicking on the America’s Next Top Model link at any time during any of the winner selection rounds. Vote as often as you wish, but automated means of voting are prohibited. WGN is not responsible for lost, incomplete, damaged, illegible, late, or misdirected votes, or for errors in mechanical transmission, technical difficulties or inability to transmit votes.
5. PRIZE: One (1) winner will receive the opportunity to announce the show America’s Next Top Model in a ten-second (: 10) promotional announcement shot at the WGN-TV studios. Only one prize will be awarded. If the prize becomes unavailable for any reason, WGN reserves the right to substitute a prize of comparable value.
6. CONDITIONS & RESTRICTIONS
a. Use of winner's name: By entering, each entrant grants permission, without further compensation, or prior approval rights, to WGN, its agents and licensees, or prior approval rights to use the entrant's name, voice, photograph, likeness and biographical material for promotional purposes in connection with the contest.
b. Execution of Affidavit and Release: By entering, each entrant agrees that if selected as the winner, she will sign a release and waiver of liability. The prize will be forfeited and awarded to another entrant if the winners do not execute the prepared form of release and waiver within three days of the contest, or if selected as the winner is not eligible in accordance with these rules.
c. Release of Liability: By entering, entrants agree to release WGN from any claim, loss, liability, damage or injury of any kind arising from their participation in the contest or their receipt or use of the contest prize.
d. Prize Substitutions: No substitute prizes are available. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash. If the prize becomes unavailable for any reason, WGN reserves the right to substitute a prize of comparable value.
7. ELIGIBILITY:
This contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees and their immediate family members of WGN, the CW Television Network and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, and advertising/promotion agencies are not eligible to participate or win.
8. INTERNET/FORCE MAJEURE: If for any reason, this contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, tampering, fraud, technical failure, or any other cause which corrupts or threatens the administration, security or integrity of the contest, WGN-TV reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate or suspend the Contest or any portion of the Contest. ANY ATTEMPT TO DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE FAIR AND LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE CONTEST, including Vote submissions containing technical or electronic reproductions (i.e. software programs, spiders, bots, et. al), will be rejected.
